Regulations

DCE is regulated based on the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada’s (FINTRAC) rules and regulations, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

For your information, we have been focusing on only domestic currency exchanges rather than international transactions from May 1st, 2016. However, there are some general tips as follows:

– Photo ID needed for all international transactions (EFTs) over $1,000 CAD (if applicable).

– Photo ID needed for all domestic currency exchanges over $3,000 CAD.

– All international transactions (EFTs) over $10,000 CAD must be reported to the FINTRAC (if applicable).
